– What did you learn at GBP?
Throughout my 4 years of university life at Hosei University, I was able to acquire many critical skills such as strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving. GBP course consists of small classes and students are from diverse and rich background. For instance, my batch consists of students from The Philippines, The United States, Taiwan, India, and China. I was able to share my experience and leant to see things from other perspective by having effective communication with my course mates. Going in-depth to my most memorable learning was Service Management and Principles of Marketing. This course allowed me to learn the basic theories and apply them to real-life situations. For instance, we learnt the basic theory of service management, and applied it to promote and create awareness of Hosei University’s new cafeteria. We formed groups to analyze and conducted research to enhance cafeteria awareness. We conducted a survey of 400 Japanese students to understand what their meals preference and subsequently, came out with new menus with diverse meal menus from different countries. Lastly, I learned problem-solving skill which was one of the most essential skills in every course in GBP. All in all, GBP is a course that will definitely prepare one for the real professional world. If you want more excitement during your university life, then you should create your own excitement by taking action. Don’t just do whatever it is in the syllabus, take action to make your university life exciting and memorable.
